Sunday, October 4, 2026 - Nadiya Bychkova has made a surprise return to the BBC just months after leaving Strictly Come Dancing, appearing as a guest on It Takes Two.
The former professional dancer joined Jay McGuinness and Kimberley Walsh on the programme on October 2, offering her expertise ahead of Movie Week and immediately delighting viewers who had missed seeing her on the show.
Bychkova's return comes after the BBC confirmed in May that she would leave the professional line-up alongside Karen Hauer, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas.
However, her relationship with Strictly appears far from over. Earlier this year, Bychkova said she was discussing the possibility of returning as a choreographer, describing creating and choreographing routines as something she loves and wants to pursue.
The latest It Takes Two appearance gives fans an early glimpse of what that next chapter could look like. Bychkova is also scheduled to return to the programme on October 5, keeping her closely connected to the BBC show despite no longer competing as a professional dancer.
After nine years on Strictly, her latest role suggests her dance career is continuing in a new direction rather than coming to an end.
