Sunday, October 4, 2026 - Chris Harrison’s new dating series, The Vow, has been hit with a cease-and-desist letter from Warner Bros. Television, which produces The Bachelor.
The dispute centers on promotional material for Harrison’s Fox Nation show, including falling red roses, a man holding a rose, mansion imagery and the use of the words “The Bachelor.” Warner Bros. argues that the marketing improperly capitalizes on the franchise’s intellectual property and goodwill.
Fox Nation has pushed back against the allegations, arguing that Warner Bros. does not have exclusive rights to romantic imagery such as falling rose petals or to the phrase “the bachelor” when used in its ordinary meaning.
The network also said the promotional material presents The Vow as a different approach to dating, focused on meaningful relationships, commitment and building a life together. The series follows 30-year-old Jace Cates as he dates 10 women while looking for a lasting relationship and marriage.
The legal clash comes just weeks before The Vow is scheduled to premiere on Fox Nation on November 11. Harrison, who hosted The Bachelor franchise for years before his 2021 departure, is now returning to the dating-show world with a format explicitly centered on faith, shared values and long-term commitment.
With Warner Bros. challenging the show's marketing and Fox defending its concept, the dispute has added another layer of attention to Harrison's highly anticipated television comeback.
