SASS JORDAN dead at 63




Monday, October 5, 2026 - Canadian rock singer Sass Jordan has died at the age of 63. Jordan passed away on October 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, according to a statement shared on her social media accounts.

Her family described her as an “inimitable force of nature” and an “irreplaceable being of light and joy.” A cause of death has not been disclosed.

Jordan was best known for her powerful rock voice and songs including “Make You a Believer” and “High Road Easy.”


Her 1992 album Racine brought major attention, while she also toured with major rock acts including Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Van Halen. She later became a familiar television face as a judge on all six seasons of Canadian Idol.


News of Jordan’s death comes weeks after her team announced that she was cancelling her remaining 2026 performances because of a serious medical condition and would be stepping away from professional commitments to focus on her health and recovery.


She is survived by her husband Derek Sharp, daughter Stella, stepdaughter Brianne and brother Daniel. Fans and fellow musicians have since begun sharing tributes to the Canadian rock star and celebrating the impact of her music and career.
