REBEL WILSON sends 'love to all the JANE DOEs' amid Cornell alleged rape case uproar

Thursday, October 1, 2026 - Rebel Wilson has spoken out amid growing public attention over the alleged sexual assault case involving a former Cornell University student known as Jane Doe.

The actress shared a message of support on Instagram, calling on anyone with information about the case to come forward. Wilson said she was deeply affected by reports surrounding the allegations and urged people who may have witnessed what happened to support the woman seeking justice.

Wilson also shared a personal experience, saying that when she was 17, she gave evidence in a case involving another student who she said did not receive justice.

She described the experience as difficult and highlighted what she viewed as the courage required of victims and witnesses who come forward. Her comments came as renewed attention focused on the Cornell case, with other public figures also discussing the allegations online.

The controversy has intensified after Tompkins County prosecutors reopened the criminal investigation into the 2024 allegations. The former student has filed a civil lawsuit against seven former Chi Phi fraternity members and Cornell, alleging that she was drugged and sexually assaulted.

The district attorney has said the case is expected to be presented to a grand jury, while newly reported information about the victim’s earlier interview with campus police has raised further questions about how the original investigation was handled. The allegations remain allegations, and no criminal conviction has been established in the case.
