Friday, October 2, 2026 - Kylie Kelce has apologised to Kate Middleton after referring to her as “Princess Kate” and “Duchess of Cambridge” while inviting her to appear on her Not Gonna Lie podcast.
Kelce addressed the mistake on the October 1 episode, explaining that she had not realised the wording was considered inappropriate and saying she wanted to use the most respectful form of address.
Kelce, 34, said she now understands that Catherine’s formal title is Catherine, Princess of Wales, and promised to use “Princess Catherine” or “the Princess of Wales” going forward.
The mix-up followed her September 24 invitation, when she suggested that the two could talk about field hockey, motherhood and their shared experiences.
Despite the title blunder, Kelce said her invitation remains open and that she would love to speak with the Princess of Wales.
She also acknowledged that a royal appearance would require her to adjust her famously casual language, agreeing with a listener who said she might need to “clean up” her act for such a guest.
