Sunday, September 27, 2026 - Oasis star and lifelong Manchester City supporter Noel Gallagher has reacted with shock after the club was reportedly found guilty of 114 of 115 Premier League financial-rule charges.
The findings, reported on September 25, concern alleged breaches covering the period from 2009 to 2018. Manchester City have consistently denied the charges, and the Premier League process remains ongoing.
Speaking on the Let Me Talk podcast, Gallagher said he was surprised by the reported verdict and described the situation as “quite sad” for both City supporters and players.
He was also asked whether the findings changed the way he viewed major moments from the club’s past, including Sergio Aguero’s famous 2012 title-winning goal. Gallagher said his focus as a supporter remained on what happened on the pitch, separating the players and fans from matters in the boardroom.
