Wednesday, June 3, 2026 - Actor Nick Pasqual, known for his appearance in the television series How I Met Your Mother, has been sentenced to 32 years to life in prison following his conviction for the attempted murder of his former girlfriend, makeup artist Allie Shehorn.
The sentence was handed down on Tuesday, June 2, weeks after
a jury found Pasqual guilty in connection with a violent attack that occurred
in May 2024.
According to prosecutors, Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s home
in Sunland during the early hours of the morning and attacked her with a knife
before fleeing the scene toward the U.S.-Mexico border. Authorities said
Shehorn sustained multiple stab wounds and was rushed to hospital, where she
underwent emergency surgery and extensive medical treatment.
She survived the attack but has said she continues to suffer
from permanent injuries, emotional trauma and significant medical expenses.
Pasqual was later arrested and charged. Following a trial, a jury found him
guilty of attempted murder, residential burglary and other offences related to
the attack.
In addition to the criminal case, Shehorn has filed a civil
lawsuit against Pasqual. The lawsuit alleges s3xual battery, gender-based
violence, assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and
negligence, and seeks both compensatory and punitive damages.
