VICTOR WEMBANYAMA diagnosed with concussion after slamming face on floor in Game 2

Thursday, April 23, 2026-NBA star Victor Wembanyama has been diagnosed with a concussion after a frightening fall during Game 2, where he hit his face hard on the court floor following a collision in play.

The incident immediately raised concern on the court as medical staff rushed in to assess the 7-foot-4 Spurs standout, who appeared disoriented after the impact.

According to team officials, Wembanyama was removed from the game for evaluation and later placed under the NBA’s concussion protocol.

Early assessments confirmed head trauma consistent with a concussion, meaning he will be sidelined until he clears a series of medical tests and symptom checks. The timeline for his return remains uncertain, depending entirely on recovery progress.

The injury is a major setback for both Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs, who rely heavily on his presence on both ends of the floor.

His absence comes at a critical point in the series, forcing the team to adjust quickly as they try to stay competitive. For fans and analysts alike, the focus now shifts from performance to recovery, with health taking priority over the postseason stakes.
