Tuesday, October 13, 2026 -Hollywood actress Selma Blair is facing serious legal trouble after an alleged altercation aboard a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York. Her lawyer says the incident was linked to missed doses of medication, a head injury, extreme fatigue and severe confusion.
Blair, 54, was arrested after the flight landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport, bringing renewed attention to an incident that has quickly become a major entertainment and legal news story.
During her court appearance on October 12, Blair’s attorney argued that her actions were not intentional, claiming the actress had missed medication prescribed for her multiple sclerosis. She is accused of punching one flight attendant and biting another, then kicking a police officer and a hospital nurse after landing.
Blair pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault and was released on bail. The FBI is also investigating the alleged incident aboard the aircraft.
The case now puts Blair’s legal defence and the circumstances surrounding the alleged medical emergency under intense scrutiny. If convicted of the state assault charges, she could face a prison sentence of two to seven years, according to reports.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for January 19, 2027. For now, the allegations remain unproven, and the proceedings will determine how the case moves forward.
