Sunday, October 18, 2026 - British actress and model Elizabeth Hurley has sparked excitement among fans after reportedly announcing her engagement to American country music star Billy Ray Cyrus. The Austin Powers actress was pictured showing off a sparkling engagement ring, drawing widespread attention to the couple’s relationship and plans for the future.
The reported engagement marks a major milestone for the pair, whose romance has attracted considerable public interest since they went public with their relationship. Their unexpected pairing has continued to generate headlines across the entertainment world, with fans eager to learn more about their next chapter together.
The engagement reports gained momentum after Hurley shared photographs on Instagram on October 12 showing a large diamond ring on her left hand while on the set of The ’Burbs season two. Cyrus added to the speculation three days later when he posted a message containing a diamond-ring emoji, prompting fans to wonder whether the couple had taken their relationship to the next level.
Reports published on October 16 cited sources confirming that Cyrus had proposed and Hurley had accepted. However, neither star had publicly confirmed the engagement at the time of the reports.
Hurley and Cyrus made their relationship public in April 2025 after reconnecting following their meeting while filming the 2022 holiday movie Christmas in Paradise. Both stars have previously experienced high-profile relationships, and the reported engagement marks a new chapter in their romance.
Cyrus, known for hits including Achy Breaky Heart, shares five children with his former wife Tish Cyrus and has another child from an earlier relationship, while Hurley has a son, Damian, with the late businessman Steve Bing. As fans await an official announcement and possible wedding details, the reported engagement has become one of the entertainment world's biggest talking points, proving that unexpected celebrity romances can capture global attention.
