Monday, October 19, 2026 - Hollywood star Kevin Bacon has publicly called out FedEx after a box containing his treasured vintage clothes went missing during delivery to Ireland, turning a simple shipping arrangement into a frustrating international ordeal.
The 68-year-old Footloose actor revealed the problem in an Instagram video posted on October 16, explaining that he had shipped the items ahead of a work trip to avoid carrying extra luggage. The parcel reportedly travelled through several countries, including France, Germany and Israel, before eventually reaching the UK and then Ireland, where Bacon said it remained undelivered.
What makes the situation particularly frustrating for Bacon is that the missing items are not simply replaceable wardrobe essentials. The actor explained that his box contained old boots, jeans and hats he had owned since the 1990s, giving them sentimental value that money cannot easily replace.
He also expressed frustration over being unable to speak directly with a customer service representative to resolve the issue. “I could buy some clothes, but I want these clothes,” he explained, appealing to his followers for help as he wondered whether he would ever see his belongings again.
Following Bacon’s public complaint, FedEx issued an apology and confirmed that it was in direct contact with the actor’s team to arrange delivery. The company also acknowledged that the resolution should have happened sooner and said it was reviewing what went wrong.
The incident has drawn attention online, with fans reacting to the unusual journey of the parcel and the actor’s determination to recover his favourite pieces. While the company works to resolve the matter, Bacon’s experience highlights how even a routine delivery can become a major headache when communication breaks down—and why sentimental belongings can mean far more than their price tag.
