Wednesday, October 7, 2026 - Ben Affleck has sparked fresh headlines about his failed marriage to Jennifer Lopez after making candid comments about his romantic history.
During recent interviews promoting his new film Animals, the Oscar winner joked that his children now question his relationship advice, with one of them bluntly asking whether he was really an “expert on relationships.”
The comments come nearly two years after Affleck and Lopez separated and after their divorce was finalized in 2025.
Affleck has previously rejected the idea that their breakup was caused by one dramatic incident, describing it instead as the result of two people trying to work out their lives and relationship.
Affleck is now making it clear that romance is not his priority. He says his children and career come first and that he is happy with where his life stands, although he remains open to whatever the future brings.
His latest remarks have nevertheless put his short-lived marriage to Lopez back in the spotlight.
