Wednesday, September 30, 2026 - Sean “Diddy” Combs’ expected prison release date has changed again, with Federal Bureau of Prisons records now listing January 21, 2028.
The latest date is earlier than the February 2028 date reported earlier this month and represents another adjustment since Combs began serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison after being convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of charges involving sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.
His original release date was set for 2028, but the date has shifted several times as prison records have been updated.
The latest change has renewed attention on how federal prison release dates can be adjusted based on factors including time served, institutional conduct and participation in qualifying programmes.
Combs remains incarcerated while his legal team pursues an appeal, and the Bureau of Prisons has not publicly explained the specific reasons behind the latest adjustment.
