Sunday, September 6, 2026 - Jameela Jamil has urged people to “listen to your bodies” after a “fluke bad luck thing” led to her cancelling her live podcast show.
The TV presenter turned actress had been due to host a live recording of her Wrong Turns podcast on September 11, with guests including singer Paloma Faith. However, in a post on her Instagram page, Jameela told her followers that she has had to cancel the show due to her ill health.
She wrote: “I’m so sorry to do this but as you may have seen from various hospital pics over the past few weeks, I’ve been really sick with a fluke of bad luck.” She added that she would not be able to do the Wrong Turns live show, which had sold out, and said: “I can’t think of a bigger wrong turn than this.
We will come back bigger and stronger soon. I love being with you in person. I just have to look after myself.” Jameela also said she would rearrange the show “when I am well enough” and admitted she has never cancelled “an appearance or booked job in my entire 18 year career”.
While Jameela didn’t go into any more details about what she has been battling, she thanked three nurses for “keeping me above water” and promised fans she would still be posting “now and then from my bed”.
Organisers of the September 11 Wrong Turns live recording also announced the cancellation, saying they were working with Jameela’s team to find a new date. Ticket holders will be contacted when the new date has been confirmed, while Jameela has said she is taking time away to recover and urged her followers to “listen to your bodies”.
