Wednesday, September 9, 2026 - Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man during a raid on the occupied West Bank town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, on Tuesday, September 8. Palestinian sources identified the man as 29-year-old Abdul Karim Muhammad Salem Khader.
His death came after Israeli forces surrounded a building where he was staying and launched an operation that included heavy fire and a bulldozer, according to Palestinian reports.
The Israeli military said Khader was a wanted suspect who attacked soldiers with a Molotov cocktail and an improvised explosive device before allegedly confronting troops with a knife.
Palestinian officials and local witnesses disputed aspects of the account, with Aqraba's mayor saying the man was unarmed and that Israeli forces used projectiles against the building. His body was reportedly taken by Israeli forces after the operation.
The raid is part of a wider wave of Israeli military operations across the occupied West Bank, with arrests, home raids and movement restrictions reported in several areas, including Anata, Shu'fat and around Hebron.
