Monday, September 14, 2026 - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has called for stronger cooperation among BRICS countries to help strengthen economic resilience and address growing global challenges.
He said closer coordination among member states could support trade, investment and development while creating greater opportunities for emerging economies.
El-Sisi stressed the importance of expanding economic partnerships and increasing cooperation in areas such as finance, energy, technology and infrastructure.
Greater coordination within BRICS, he said, could help member states respond more effectively to economic pressures and disruptions affecting global markets.
Egypt’s push for deeper BRICS cooperation comes as emerging economies seek stronger partnerships and a greater role in shaping the global economic system.
Increased collaboration could provide new opportunities for investment and trade while strengthening the bloc’s influence in international economic affairs.
