Monday, September 7, 2026 - Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed at least four people and wounded 20 others on Sunday, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
Israel said the strikes were carried out after Hezbollah allegedly launched drones toward Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon. The attacks add fresh pressure to an already fragile security situation despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire framework.
The strikes hit several areas in the Nabatieh region, with Lebanese authorities reporting casualties in Nabatieh, Arab Salim and nearby communities.
Israel said it targeted Hezbollah weapons facilities and infrastructure, while Lebanese officials condemned the attacks and warned of a dangerous escalation. The Israeli military also said one of the drones launched toward its forces was intercepted.
