King CHARLES and Queen CAMILLA begin US state visit

Thursday, April 30, 2026-King Charles III and Queen Camilla have begun a formal state visit to the United States, marking a significant diplomatic moment in UK–US relations.

The visit is designed to reinforce strategic ties between the two allies, with a focus on security cooperation, climate initiatives, and shared economic interests.

The itinerary includes meetings with senior US leadership, including discussions at the White House, where both sides are expected to highlight cooperation on global stability and emerging challenges such as artificial intelligence regulation and energy security.

Public engagements are also planned, with appearances aimed at showcasing cultural ties and long-standing diplomatic goodwill between the two nations.

Beyond ceremony, the visit carries clear geopolitical weight. At a time of shifting global alliances and heightened international tensions, both governments are using the trip to signal continuity in the “special relationship.”
