Friday, April 24, 2026- Rescue teams in Lebanon have recovered the body of a journalist working for a pro-Hezbollah daily newspaper from the rubble of a home that was struck in an Israeli airstrike.
The incident has intensified already high tensions in the region amid ongoing cross-border hostilities.
According to local reports, the building was hit during an IDF operation targeting areas linked to militant activity. Emergency crews searched through debris for hours before locating the journalist’s remains, while several other casualties and injuries were also reported in the surrounding area.
The strike has drawn renewed scrutiny over civilian risks in the conflict zone, with calls for restraint and greater protection for non-combatants, including media workers operating in active war zones.
Authorities in Lebanon have condemned the attack, while Israel has not issued detailed comment specific to the incident at the time of reporting.
