At least 182 killed across Lebanon in large wave of Israeli strikes

Friday, April 10, 2026-Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon have killed at least 182 people in one of the deadliest escalations in the ongoing conflict, according to Lebanese health officials.

The strikes hit multiple locations, including densely populated areas of Beirut, triggering widespread destruction and panic as emergency services struggled to respond to the scale of casualties.

The attacks came as part of a broader wave of coordinated strikes that Lebanese authorities say struck residential and commercial districts, leaving hundreds more injured and overwhelming hospitals already strained by months of conflict.

Officials described scenes of chaos as rescue teams searched through rubble for survivors while medical facilities faced critical shortages of supplies and capacity.

The escalation has intensified regional tensions and raised fears of further retaliation, with diplomatic efforts struggling to contain the fallout.

As both sides exchange blame over violations and military objectives, Lebanon continues to bear the heaviest toll, with civilian casualties and infrastructure damage mounting rapidly amid the ongoing violence.
