Tuesday, March 31, 2026-Two Indian nationals were among four people injured after debris from an air defence interception fell on residential buildings in Dubai, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred in the Al Badaa area, where falling fragments struck homes following the interception of incoming aerial threats.
The other injured individuals included one Bangladeshi and one Sri Lankan national. Officials said all four sustained minor injuries and were treated promptly, with no fatalities reported in this particular incident.
Emergency services responded quickly to assess the damage and ensure the safety of residents in the affected area.
The incident highlights the growing risks posed by falling debris even when air defence systems successfully intercept missiles and drones.
The United Arab Emirates has faced repeated aerial attacks in recent weeks, and while most threats are neutralized, fragments from interceptions continue to pose dangers to civilians and infrastructure.
