Tuesday, March 31, 2026-Pakistan international cricketer Fakhar Zaman has been handed a two-match ban in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after being found guilty of ball tampering during a match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings.
The decision was made following a disciplinary hearing led by match referee Roshan Mahanama, who reviewed the evidence and ruled it a Level 3 offence under the league’s code of conduct.
The incident occurred during a crucial phase of the match when umpires noticed a change in the condition of the ball and intervened. A five-run penalty was awarded to Karachi Kings and the ball was replaced. The moment proved significant in the outcome of the game, drawing widespread attention and sparking controversy across the league.
