TRUMP says he's kept all of his campaign promises. PolitiFact's MAGA-Meter shows otherwise

Wednesday, February 25, 2026- President Donald Trump has repeatedly asserted that he has delivered on all of his major campaign promises since returning to the White House, telling supporters that he’s “kept all my promises and much more.” But an independent tally of his second‑term agenda by PolitiFact’s MAGA‑Meter tells a much more complicated story that directly contradicts those claims.

According to the tracker, which evaluates measurable progress on 75 specific pledges, only a handful have been fully completed, leaving the majority either stalled, broken, or still in motion.

The MAGA‑Meter finds that roughly 19% of Trump’s tracked promises have been fulfilled, including extensions of tax cuts and other headline items, while another small portion is rated as a compromise because the outcome only partially meets the original pledge.

However, about 31% are stalled due to legislative obstacles or lack of action, and at least one high‑profile promise — to end the Ukraine‑Russia war in 24 hours — is widely listed as broken. Numerous other goals remain in the “in the works” category, with little to no clear progress nearly halfway through his second term.

The gap between Trump’s public pronouncements and the MAGA‑Meter’s assessments highlights a growing credibility challenge for the president as he heads into the 2026 midterm campaign cycle.

While Trump touts accomplishments, independent fact‑checkers note that most of his agenda is unfinished or has shifted from original campaign language, a contrast that critics say undermines his messaging. With key promises still unresolved and measurable progress slower than he claims, the data paints a more mixed — and less complete — picture of the president’s performance compared with his own assertions.
