New Yorkers praise MAMDANI’s charm offensive on TRUMP, but remain cautiously optimistic

Despite their mistrust of both men, locals told CNN that Mamdani handled the encounter well — injecting a rare dose of pragmatism into what many expected to be a show of hostility. John Lani, a New Yorker out for a run in Central Park, summed up the sentiment: “I really don’t like the guy, but I’m glad that he was able to go in there and do a good job with the president.”
