Friday, November 7, 2025 -Two Palestinian teenagers were fatally shot by Israeli forces in the town of al-Judeira, situated northwest of Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry on Friday.
The ministry identified the victims as Mohammad Abdullah Taim and Mohammad Rashad Fadl Qassem, both aged 16. They reported that Israeli troops “fired a heavy barrage of live bullets at them in the upper neighborhood of al-Judeira before taking possession of their bodies,” as reported by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.
The Israeli army issued a statement acknowledging that “on Thursday, during an ambush conducted by Unit 636 in the al-Judeira area, two individuals were observed setting off and throwing Molotov cocktails towards a main road.”
The statement further stated that “The Israeli force neutralized the two individuals, and there were no injuries among our troops.”Israel’s public broadcaster, KAN, reported that the army had “killed both of them.”
The Jerusalem Governorate issued a separate statement indicating that Israeli forces “targeted the two individuals with a heavy barrage of live fire in the upper neighborhood near the separation and expansion wall, close to residential areas.”
Jerusalem is encircled by a concrete and barbed-wire barrier primarily constructed within the West Bank. This barrier stands over 8 meters (26 feet) high and spans approximately 202 kilometers (125 miles), as documented by the Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem.
While Israel asserts that the barrier was erected for security purposes, Palestinians and the United Nations characterize it as an integral component of a plan for the annexation of occupied land. In 2004, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued an advisory opinion declaring the wall unlawful due to its construction within the occupied Palestinian territory.
