Wednesday, November 19, 2025-
At the latest global climate summit, 82 countries collectively called for an accelerated move away from fossil fuels, urging nations to commit to cleaner, renewable energy solutions.

Delegates highlighted the urgent need to phase out coal, oil, and gas subsidies and ramp up investment in wind, solar, and other sustainable technologies to meet global climate targets.

The coalition stressed that immediate action is critical to curb rising global temperatures and prevent the most catastrophic impacts of climate change. Leaders also emphasized the role of international cooperation, warning that unilateral efforts would fall short without a coordinated, global transition to low-carbon energy.

Economic and technological support for developing nations featured prominently in discussions, with calls to increase funding for renewable infrastructure and innovation.

The summit underscored that the push to abandon fossil fuels is not just environmental but also an economic growth opportunity, driving jobs, clean energy industries, and resilient communities worldwide.
