IDF warns of "unprecedented force" in Gaza city as 480,000 flee

Sunday, September 21, 2025 -The Israeli military has warned it will use “unprecedented force” in Gaza City, urging residents to evacuate as operations intensify.

Nearly 480,000 Palestinians have fled the city in the past month, according to Israeli estimates. The military has closed several routes, leaving the Al-Rashid coastal road as the only permitted escape path. 

Leaflets and announcements have directed civilians toward a designated humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi.

UN agencies and aid groups warn of worsening humanitarian conditions in the south, where displaced families face overcrowding, limited food, water shortages, and inadequate shelter. International concern continues to grow over the safety of civilians as the conflict escalates.
