Thursday, February 17, 2022 -Jubilee Party Secretary-General, Raphael Tuju, has asked Kieni Constituency Member of Parliament, Kanini Kega, to stop speaking on behalf of the President of the ruling coalition because he is not mandated to do so.
In an interview with one of the local dailies on Thursday, Tuju who is also a Cabinet Secretary without a portfolio said he was shocked to see Kanini Kega saying that Deputy President William Ruto has been rebellious since 2018.
Tuju dismissed Kega’s claim and said as a leader one should be careful about what he or she releases to the public domain to prevent any form of hatred.
Tuju also dismissed Kanini Kega’s claim that the President is due to start his visit to Mt Kenya region, saying he is the only one “who knows what the President “eats” and “drinks” and that Kenyans should be receiving information from one source only”.
Impeccable sources say there are internal wrangles within the Jubilee Party, with officials accusing Mt Kenya leaders led by Kanini Kega of humiliating them and issuing conflicting reports on behalf of the President and the party.
