Thursday, February 17, 2022 – Self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general, Miguna Miguna, has reacted to the latest opinion poll results that showed that Deputy President William Ruto is the man to beat during the August 9th poll.
The poll, which was made public on Thursday, showed that if elections were held today, Ruto would garner 47.1 percent of the total votes, followed closely by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) supremo Raila Odinga with 35 percent.
The pollster said by looking at Raila Odinga’s numbers, he is improving drastically, particularly in the vote-rich Mt Kenya region.
But in his reaction, Miguna termed the opinion poll as fake, saying Raila Odinga has not gained any vote in the Mt Kenya region.
Miguna Miguna also said during the August 9th election, Raila Odinga will get less than 10 percent of the Mt Kenya vote.
The ‘General’ further said President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is supporting Raila’s quest for president in August, will not bring him any votes because he is very unpopular in the Mt Kenya region.
“Fake opinion polls will not make conman @RailaOdinga win an election he lost by his treacherous acts of March 9, 2018.
“Less than 10% of Kikuyus will vote for him. Less than 40% of Kenyans support him.
“His sponsor, despot Uhuru Kenyatta is as popular as a pig in a mosque,” Miguna wrote on his Twitter page.
