Friday, January 18, 2022 – Former NTV sports anchor, Sean Cardovillis, is fighting for his life in one of the local hospitals after a severe pneumonia attack.
The seasoned journalist, who is admitted at the High Dependency Unit (HDU), is seeking financial help from well-wishers to pay the ballooning medical bills.
The ailing journalist is said to have experienced chest pains for quite some time, which later led to pneumonia and the collapse of one of his lungs.
He also has an infection around his heart.
“Sean has been hospitalized for a while now. He is receiving professional treatment and is improving, but needs monitoring and further care,” a poster widely shared on social media appealing for financial assistance reads.
The veteran media personality started his career in 1997 at Capital FM, where he was a presenter.
He later became a sports editor at the same station before leaving.
In 2014, he joined Nation FM where he served as the Head of Radio.
He later joined NTV as a sports anchor before resigning in 2020.
