Thursday, February 17, 2022 – Celebrated political analyst, Mutahi Ngunyi, has shared his views on social media about the Mt Kenya vote ahead of the August 9th presidential election.
All presidential candidates, including Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, have pitched tents in the Mt Kenya region with the hope that the vote-rich region will support their bids.
Commenting about the Mt Kenya vote on Thursday, Mutahi said that the Kikuyus are traders and they cannot tell you the price of potatoes eight months to the market day. He said that prices are revealed a few days before the market day.
“Kikuyus are TRADERS. And no trader will tell you the PRICE of their potatoes 8 months to the MARKET DAY.
“The price is REVEALED a few days before. The GEMA tide will change just before ELECTION and the real PRICE will be REVEALED,” Ngunyi said.
Mutahi’s statement is bad news to Raila Odinga and DP Ruto since no presidential candidate will be confident that the voting bloc will support his bid until Election Day.
