Good news for RUTO as RAPHAEL TUJU resigns as Jubilee Secretary-General and is replaced accordingly – See the man who has taken over.

Sunday, February 27, 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto can now breathe a sigh of relief after Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju resigned.

Tuju resigned during the Jubilee Party’s National Delegates Convention held at KICC yesterday.

Tuju, who served in that capacity since the formation of the party in 2017, was replaced by Ndaragwa Member of Parliament Jeremiah Kioni.

Kioni will be deputized by Cherangany Member of Parliament and former advisor to President Uhuru Kenyatta on Youth Affairs Joshua Kuttuny.

The party further resolved to remove Deputy President William Ruto and his allies as its leaders.

Uhuru will, however, remain as the party leader even after retiring from elective politics after the August 9 General Election.

While making the announcement, Tuju revealed that he had the President’s blessings to step down from the party and Cabinet positions.

“The President has believed so much in uniting this country that he has been ready to reach out to those who are his opponents.

“This is not a new thing, it is something he started in 2012-2013,” Tuju stated.

Tuju further revealed that he relinquished his role in Uhuru’s Cabinet, where he served as a Cabinet Secretary without a portfolio.

This was in line with the requirement to have civil servants resign from their roles before seeking elective positions in the August polls.
