Sunday, February 27, 2022 – Embattled ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi has finally revealed the real reason he joined Deputy President William Ruto in an earthquake move that shook the country.
Addressing 5,000 delegates at his Mululu home on Friday, Mudavadi defended his decision and asked Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula to work with Ruto, saying it was in the best interest of the community.
According to Mudavadi, failure by ODM leader Raila Odinga to support a Luhya for the presidency even after the community has supported him for many years was the main reason behind their move to join Ruto.
“It is not time to lament but show direction. I want to tell you the truth. We from this region have helped others before and invested in them but they have not shown us gratitude,” Mudavadi said.
The visibly agitated Mudavadi further revealed that they were angered by the move of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila in coming up with several parties in the region that was aimed at dismembering ANC and Ford Kenya.
“They want it to look like many parties are in support of Azimio la Umoja. Let us not be hoodwinked and show them that Kenyans are with Kenya Kwanza,” said Mudavadi.
Mudavadi’s sentiments come after the recent formation of the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) associated with Eugene Wamalwa, which has seen many MPs defect from both ANC and Ford Kenya to the new party.
