Sunday, February 27, 2022 – Narc Kenya Chairperson, Martha Karua, raised eyebrows after she skipped the historical occasion where former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja Movement merged with One Kenya Alliance(OKA) on Saturday.
Karua, who is a member of OKA, was conspicuously missing from the function that was attended by senior government leaders, including President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is the Jubilee Party leader.
Immediately after Karua missed the function, there were speculations that the former Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister had warned OKA leaders to count her out if they join Raila Odinga’s Azimio.
But on Saturday evening, Karua termed the statement that she had warned OKA leaders against joining OKA as a fake.
This means that Karua is supporting OKA merging with the Azimio La Umoja and she cannot join Deputy President William Ruto‘s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Here is a screenshot of Martha Karua’s reaction after a netizen claimed she had abandoned Raila‘s Azimio.
