Saturday, February 19, 2022 – A retired police officer reportedly took his own life by setting his house ablaze.
The deceased cop was staying alone after chasing his wife and children away, immediately he retired from the police service.
He is said to have first locked himself inside the house, before setting it ablaze.
Neighbours who responded to the tragic incident say they were alarmed by billowing smoke coming from the deceased’s house.
The cop was reportedly battling depression and rarely interacted with his neighbours.
