Thursday, November 5, 2026 - Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip have killed one Palestinian and injured four others, according to medical and local sources on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The latest violence comes despite an existing ceasefire agreement, raising renewed concerns over the safety of civilians already struggling with displacement, destroyed homes and worsening humanitarian conditions.
The fatal incident occurred in central Gaza when an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians west of Al-Zawayda, killing 27-year-old Abdul Rahim Walid Matar.
Medical sources reported that another Palestinian was seriously injured in the same attack. In northern Gaza, an Israeli drone struck an apartment in the Al-Karama neighbourhood, leaving another person moderately wounded.
Two additional Palestinians, including a woman, were injured by Israeli military gunfire in areas north and east of Khan Younis. Meanwhile, Israeli naval vessels reportedly opened fire along Gaza's coastline, while artillery shelling and demolitions were also reported in different parts of the territory.
The latest casualties add to the growing death toll since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025. Gaza's Health Ministry says 1,602 Palestinians have been killed and 5,794 wounded in reported ceasefire violations.
The wider conflict since October 2023 has claimed more than 74,000 Palestinian lives, according to ministry figures.
As attacks continue, humanitarian concerns are mounting over the protection of displaced families, access to medical care and the future of the ceasefire. Civilians remain exposed to renewed violence as calls for accountability and lasting peace intensify.
