Friday, October 16, 2026 -A 37-year-old former supply teacher, Abdul Rahman, has been sentenced to six years in prison in the UK for secretly taking inappropriate photographs of schoolgirls and using artificial intelligence to create explicit images of pupils.
Rahman reportedly used his iPhone to take more than 100
photographs beneath pupils' skirts and secretly filmed girls while following
them upstairs during his time working at seven schools.
He also searched for pupils' social media profiles and used
their photographs to create inappropriate AI-generated images, some of which he
shared online.
His activities came to light after a mother discovered an
image of her daughter in school uniform alongside explicit content on X.
Investigations revealed that Rahman targeted 15 girls aged
between 13 and 16 at secondary schools in Bury, Bolton and Salford between
December 2023 and June 2025.
He pleaded guilty to 21 offences, including taking indecent
photographs of children, publishing obscene material, creating and distributing
indecent images of children, and voyeurism.
Detective Constable Lisa McGaffin of Greater Manchester
Police described the case as deeply concerning, warning about the growing
misuse of artificial intelligence to create inappropriate images.
Prosecutor Alexandra Mann said Rahman had abused his
position as a teacher and described his actions as a serious breach of trust.
Police contacted the schools where he had worked and the
families of identified victims as part of their investigation.
Rahman was sentenced to six years in prison, placed on the
Sex Offenders Register and banned from working in schools for 20 years.
