Tuesday, October 13, 2026 -An Indian national has died after sustaining injuries in an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, raising fresh concerns over the safety of civilians amid escalating regional hostilities.
The Indian Embassy confirmed the death on October 11, 2026, and said 11 Indian nationals were among those injured in the October 10 strike. The incident has intensified concerns for Indian citizens living, working and travelling across the Gulf region.
India has strongly condemned the repeated attacks on Saudi airport infrastructure, describing strikes against civilians and civilian facilities as unacceptable.
The Indian Embassy in Riyadh is coordinating with Saudi authorities and hospitals to monitor the injured and support affected families, including arrangements for the repatriation of the deceased. Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also expressed condolences and assured the family of assistance.
The latest attack highlights the growing risks facing travellers as tensions in the Middle East continue to threaten civilian safety and disrupt air transport. Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia have been urged to remain alert, follow local authorities’ instructions and monitor official travel updates.
With several injured Indians still receiving medical care, attention is now focused on their recovery, assistance to affected families and measures to prevent further attacks on civilian infrastructure.
