Tuesday, September 8, 2026 - German police have discovered and defused nine additional homemade explosive devices near high-voltage power lines in Saxony, eastern Germany, raising the total number of devices recently found in the area to 21.
Authorities said the devices were located near the Graustein substation south of Schleife in the Görlitz district and appeared designed to damage electricity infrastructure by triggering short circuits. No damage to the power grid or disruption to the public electricity supply was reported.
