Tuesday, September 29, 2026 - Louis Walsh has revealed that he believes he suffered a minor heart attack during his time on Celebrity Big Brother, describing the experience as far more stressful than he expected.
The music manager and former X Factor judge said anxiety inside the house became so severe that he needed medical attention, with his doctor later believing he had experienced a minor heart attack. Walsh, who appeared on the ITV reality show alongside Sharon Osbourne, said he now regrets taking part.
Walsh said he originally expected the experience to be enjoyable but quickly found the isolation and pressure difficult to handle.
He acknowledged that money was a major reason he agreed to enter the house, but said in hindsight he should not have done it. His comments come as he reflects on the intense experience and the impact it had on him during his stay.
The 74-year-old has also indicated that he will not take part in Simon Cowell’s planned X Factor reboot, saying he believes he is now too old for the role.
