Tuesday, September 1, 2026 - Jordyn Woods has hit back at critics who questioned why Jaden Smith appeared to be involved in her bridal party during her recent wedding to NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns.
After photos showed Smith alongside Woods and her bridesmaids and at her bridal shower, some fans questioned his role in the celebrations. Woods, 28, responded by making it clear that their friendship goes back to childhood and that his presence at her biggest life moments should come as no surprise.
Woods shared a video featuring memories of herself and Smith from childhood through to her wedding, directly addressing questions about why he was “with all of the girls” and helping with the wedding preparations.
She explained that Smith has never missed an important moment in her life, including birthdays and her father’s funeral. Woods described herself as “so lucky” to have had his friendship throughout her life, emphasizing that their bond is much deeper than the assumptions being made online.
Although Smith was not officially part of the bridal party, he played a meaningful role in the wedding and helped Towns prepare for the big day. He also created a custom pair of size 20 Louboutin shoes for the groom.
Woods’ response has now shifted the conversation away from speculation and toward the longstanding friendship between two people who have supported each other for years. Her message is clear: Smith was there because he has always been there.
