Wednesday, September 2, 2026 - Sean Ono Lennon has become a father for the first time after welcoming a baby boy with his longtime partner, Charlotte Kemp Muhl.
The 50-year-old musician announced the news on September 1, sharing photos of the couple with their newborn son. Sean revealed that they have named the baby Aurelius, marking an exciting new chapter for the family.
Sean and Charlotte, 39, have been together since 2007 after first meeting at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The pair have also worked together on several music projects, including The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger.
Charlotte has since shared her own glimpse into life with the newborn, joking about the realities of sleepless nights and adjusting to parenthood.
The arrival of Aurelius also means Sean’s late father, Beatles legend John Lennon, has become a grandfather for the first time. The announcement has already attracted congratulations from fellow musicians and friends, including Patti Smith and Willow Smith.
For Sean and Charlotte, however, the attention is now firmly on their new role as parents and the beginning of life with their baby boy.
