DOLLY PARTON’s charity announces annual fundraising event in memory of country music icon

Tuesday, September 15, 2026 - Dolly Parton’s charity has announced a new annual fundraising event in memory of the country music icon, just weeks after her death at the age of 80.

“Give Like Dolly Day” will take place on September 25, giving fans and supporters an opportunity to honor Parton by continuing the charitable work that remained central to her public life. The initiative is expected to turn her legacy of generosity into an ongoing call to action.

The event will focus on encouraging people to give back in the spirit of Parton, whose philanthropic work touched education, children's literacy and communities in need. Her Imagination Library, in particular, became one of her most recognized charitable efforts, providing free books to young children.

The new fundraising campaign gives supporters a practical way to keep that spirit alive while remembering an artist whose influence extended far beyond country music.

The announcement comes as tributes to Parton continue around the world. At the 2026 Emmy Awards, Sally Field and Reba McEntire led an emotional tribute to the singer, highlighting both her extraordinary career and her generosity.

With “Give Like Dolly Day” now set to become an annual event, her charity is making clear that Parton’s legacy will not simply be remembered—it will be carried forward through action, giving fans another powerful reason to celebrate her life and impact.
