Friday, September 24, 2026 - Charles Spencer has offered a rare glimpse into Prince Harry’s family visit to Althorp this summer, revealing that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet spent time running around the Spencer family estate.
Speaking on Lorraine on September 23, Spencer said Harry stayed at Althorp with his family in July and described the visit as “lovely,” while reflecting on what it would have meant for Princess Diana to see her grandchildren.
The visit came during the Sussexes’ wider summer trip to the UK, with Meghan Markle later sharing photographs showing Harry, Archie and Lilibet at what appeared to be Althorp.
The children were seen from behind walking through the estate with bouquets, and reports indicated that the family stayed with Spencer at the Northamptonshire property. The trip also included a private meeting between Harry, Meghan and King Charles at Highgrove, according to reports at the time.
Spencer’s comments have now brought fresh attention to a highly private family moment, particularly as Archie and Lilibet continue growing up largely outside the UK. His remarks focused less on royal protocol and more on family, childhood and Diana’s absence.
