Thursday, August 20, 2026 - Goalhanger is stepping up its television and film ambitions with the appointment of Tom Miceli as its new Head of IP Development.
The newly created role will see Miceli lead the company’s strategy for developing and licensing intellectual property, turning its successful podcast portfolio into new television and film opportunities for UK and international audiences.
Miceli joins after more than a decade at WME, where he worked across television, talent and international formats. He also played a key role in Goalhanger’s Netflix partnership that brought The Rest Is Football to the streaming platform.
At Goalhanger, he will work directly with founders, talent and editorial teams while building relationships with commissioners and production partners and pursuing licensing, co-production and format-sale deals.
The appointment comes as Goalhanger accelerates its transformation from a podcast-focused business into a broader media company. With major shows already moving toward television and streaming, Miceli’s arrival gives the company a dedicated executive focused on unlocking the commercial potential of its growing library of content.
The next phase could bring more Goalhanger properties to screens, creating new audiences, partnerships and revenue streams.
