Wednesday, August 19, 2026 - Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has opened up about the emotional reality of living alone after separating from his wife, Ola Jordan.
The couple, who were together for 26 years and married for 22, announced earlier this month that they were taking time apart after a trial separation. James has since moved out of their family home and admitted that adjusting to life on his own has been “really tough.”
Speaking publicly about the breakup, James said he has found it difficult to discuss the situation while trying to protect Ola and their six-year-old daughter, Ella.
He has reportedly been living in a one-bedroom flat while taking time to focus on himself. Fellow former Strictly professional Brendan Cole has also been supporting him, checking in regularly as James navigates the painful transition.
James and Ola have stressed that Ella remains their priority as they navigate the separation. James has also acknowledged that his mental health has been struggling for some time, making the current period particularly challenging.
While the couple have not ruled out what the future may bring, James says he is taking things day by day and using the separation as an opportunity to find himself again.
