Canada to deepen NATO ties in Türkiye, then visit Saudi Arabia

Wednesday, June 1, 2026- Canada is strengthening its diplomatic and security engagement by deepening cooperation with NATO during high-level meetings in Türkiye before continuing an official visit to Saudi Arabia.

The trip is expected to focus on regional security, defence cooperation, economic partnerships, and growing geopolitical challenges, reflecting Canada's commitment to working closely with key international allies.

During the visit to Türkiye, Canadian officials are expected to hold discussions with NATO partners on collective defence, regional stability, and ongoing security priorities.

The delegation will then travel to Saudi Arabia, where talks will center on trade, investment, energy cooperation, and broader efforts to expand bilateral relations while addressing regional and global issues.

The back-to-back visits underscore Canada's push to strengthen strategic partnerships in an increasingly complex global environment. As international security and economic cooperation continue to evolve, the outcomes of these meetings could shape future collaboration on defence, commerce, and regional stability, making the visit one to watch closely.
