Hospital staff accessed records 40 times of boy thrown into crocodile enclosure

Friday, June 26, 2026- An investigation is underway after reports emerged that hospital staff accessed the medical records of a young boy linked to a widely reported case involving a fatal incident at a wildlife facility.

According to initial findings, internal systems flagged dozens of potential unauthorised access attempts, prompting a formal review of data protection compliance.

Hospital administrators confirmed that a total of around 40 record access events are being examined to determine whether staff had legitimate reasons to view the information or whether protocols were breached.

The review is being conducted under strict confidentiality rules, with disciplinary action possible if misuse of patient data is confirmed.

Health authorities have reiterated that access to medical records is tightly regulated and monitored to protect patient privacy, particularly in sensitive or high-profile cases. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say further updates will be provided once the internal review is complete and verified findings are established.
