The move is aimed at reducing health risks as soaring temperatures increase the likelihood of dehydration, heatstroke, and medical emergencies among large crowds gathered at summer events.
Organisers across multiple regions have been instructed to prioritise public safety measures, including expanded access to free water stations, shaded rest areas, and increased medical support on-site.
Event officials have also been advised to adjust schedules where possible, with daytime performances reduced or rescheduled to avoid peak heat hours. The alcohol restriction is expected to remain in place for the duration of the highest alert level.
