Monday, May 25, 2026- Turkish police forced their way into several offices linked to the main opposition Republican People's Party after clashes erupted during nationwide demonstrations against the government.
Witnesses and opposition officials said riot police used tear gas, rubber bullets, and water cannons to disperse crowds gathered outside party buildings in Ankara and Istanbul, while officers reportedly broke doors and detained multiple protesters during the raids.
